Purpose:
Fuel & Lube Technician is to perform vehicle maintenance and servicing tasks and refueling, lubricating and topping up fluids on client’s fleet.
Primary Responsibilities:
In general, but not limited to:
- Grease booms, pulleys, buckets and other components of heavy equipment
- Provide on-site services
- Lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks or heavy equipment
- Be alert to risks or threats in order to prevent losses before they occur
- Give proper care to the operation and maintenance of the vehicles
- Applying lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance
- Lubricating wheel bearings to prevent excessive tire wear
- Performing engine cleanings to prevent rust formation
- Replacing cabin, fuel, air and oil filters as required
- Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear
- Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed
- Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections
- Report all damage of the equipment to the Site supervisor
- Pressure washer and steam truck operation;
- Perform housekeeping functions;
- Prioritize correct order of equipment to refuel, Inspect and document damage and defects
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor
- Fill out daily Service Reports
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Grade twelve (12) Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Minimum 2 years experience is required
- Completion of a postsecondary education Lube Technician program
- College or industry courses in heavy equipment operating is considered an asset
- Proven experience in automotive maintenance and repair
- Valid class five (5) driver’s license
- CSO certification (or combination of CSTS and OSSA or BSO)
- Mask fit testing
- Good manual dexterity and hand – eye coordination
- Detail oriented
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to speak, write and read English is required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)
Work Schedule: 6 x 6 Shift | 6 days on, 6 days off shifts, 12hr shift
