HR Advisor

The Human resource advisor is responsible for the management of all human resource programs and services to the organization. This role works to align HR practices and ensure a high standard of customer service is provided to employees and clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with site management and supervision teams to identify prospective staffing requirements.
  • Facilitate career fairs.
  •  Managing all aspects of recruitment
  • Review candidate inventories, pre-screen, quality checks and interviews.
  • Administer new hire onboarding process.
  • Assist employees with benefit questions.
  • Manage confidential p-files.
  • Electronic filing and record keeping duties to confidential information.
  • HR practices remain current and keep up to any legislation changes.
  • Respond to general questions on HR policy and process.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with all employees while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
  • Support employee termination, update employment records related to hiring.
  • Understand Performance Management principles and provide advice and counsel to employees/leaders on these processes.
  • Recognition – identify and provide information to management.
  • Monitor safety training expirations.
  • Coordinating internal and external client requests via email and phone.
  • Support the organizations safety programs & training.
  • Weekly reports to CEO & President.
  • Managing Workhub certifications, maintaining spend matrix.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • HR diploma
  • Office administration Diploma preferred.
  • Minimum 2 Years Office Administrative experience
  • High Degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (required)
  • Work well with others in a team environment and have a positive attitude.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in high-pressure situations.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to remain neutral and impartial when necessary.
  • Problem solving and mediation skills.

Additional Information:

  • Job Types: Hourly, Full Time, Permanent

  • Location: Local Fort McMurray Position, No Camp or Flights Available

  • Schedule: M-F, 8 Hour Days, 8am – 4:30pm with half hour unpaid lunch (On-Call as required)
