APE Maintenance is looking for an experienced Parts technician to support planning and inventory controls at our shop. The work involves determining priorities and sources of supply for materials, requisitioning, ordering, receiving, unpacking , inspecting and checking packing slips against stock received, deliveries of materials, this may include reconciliation for price, quantity, quality and damage. Successful candidate should possess a considerable initiative and independence in the application of proper stock keeping methods.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform sourcing, ordering, shipping/receiving , warehousing and inventory control of parts
- Providing accurate, courteous, and professional customer service
- Assisting the Shop Foreman in daily operations including maintaining inventory & stock levels
- Communicate with maintenance team to determine their parts requirements in a timely manner
- Identifying needs for parts and equipment & suggest items to enhance the customers job requirements
- Advise Customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
- Pulls orders for delivery, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number.
- Examines returned parts for defects. Exchange defective parts or refund.
- Report any accidents or incidents that require attention immediately.
- Perform sourcing, ordering, shipping/receiving , warehousing and inventory control of parts
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Parts Technician or Mechanical trade certificate required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with rotational equipment or medium duty parts experience
- Experience in Planning/Scheduling tracking tasks within the shop environment
- Ability to deal with multiple requests and various vendors
- Background/knowledge of heavy-duty parts Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- A strong desire to achieve the very best in customer service and teamwork
- Ability to use various computer programs
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Prefer experience with SIS and other heavy equipment vendor parts software but not necessary ; Forklift experience
- Valid Driver’s license/Clean Driver’s abstract
