The Human resource advisor is responsible for the management of all human resource programs and services to the organization. This role works to align HR practices and ensure a high standard of customer service is provided to employees and clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with site management and supervision teams to identify prospective staffing requirements.
- Facilitate career fairs.
- Managing all aspects of recruitment
- Review candidate inventories, pre-screen, quality checks and interviews.
- Administer new hire onboarding process.
- Assist employees with benefit questions.
- Manage confidential p-files.
- Electronic filing and record keeping duties to confidential information.
- HR practices remain current and keep up to any legislation changes.
- Respond to general questions on HR policy and process.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with all employees while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
- Support employee termination, update employment records related to hiring.
- Understand Performance Management principles and provide advice and counsel to employees/leaders on these processes.
- Recognition – identify and provide information to management.
- Monitor safety training expirations.
- Coordinating internal and external client requests via email and phone.
- Support the organizations safety programs & training.
- Weekly reports to CEO & President.
- Managing Workhub certifications, maintaining spend matrix.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- HR diploma
- Office administration Diploma preferred.
- Minimum 2 Years Office Administrative experience
- High Degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (required)
- Work well with others in a team environment and have a positive attitude.
- Must have strong organizational skills, time management and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in high-pressure situations.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain neutral and impartial when necessary.
